Each My Room Outside space uses:
My Room Outside spaces boast incredibly green eco credentials that ensure their production is highly sustainable and that they don't negatively impact the environment.
Below you'll find information on what makes our spaces so environmentally friendly, what efforts we've gone to to ensure sustainable materials and methods are used.
Most of the components that make up our My Room Outside spaces are developed and constructed in the UK which not only removes the concerns of trade and logistical fluctuations of other countries, but it also reduces the energy needed to transport our modular spaces to your garden, ensuring our carbon footprint is low.
The materials that make a My Room Outside space are selected for their accessibility and quality, plus their proximity to our Lancing manufacturing site in West Sussex is always factored in to further keep our carbon footprint low.
My Room Outside spaces are insulated by natural sheep's wool gathered from UK farms. As well as the wool being sustainable there is the added health benefit of elements like formaldehyde, nitrogen oxide and sulphur dioxide being absorbed, keeping the air inside our spaces cleaner.
All the timber used in our space construction is FSC certified, so can be easily recycled if you no longer require your garden room. The timber is also largely untreated to reduce the presence of additional chemicals.
Plastics are also kept to a minimum as all our double-glazed windows and doors are set within aluminium frames.
